How to get to Tehran Protestant Cemetery:

Via Chamran tunnel: 
after tunnel follow signs to Behesht-e Zahra, you are now on Navab Hwy, then right exit onto Tondguyan Hwy, follow Tondguyan Hwy cross Azadegan Hwy, continue on Behesht-e Zahra Hwy to the end right before Behesht-e Zahra cemetery.
Turn LEFT, pass main gate Behesht-e Zahra cemetery (on your right) to the end of highway. Turn left at junction to old Ghom Road (towards Rey), continue 1.2 km. After the first pedestrian flyover look for the open plot with trees and a high water tank on your right behind a new wall.

Via Emam-Ali Hwy:
Follow Emam Ali south, cross Azadegan towards Shahr-Rey, go straight to the end (follow signs for Behest-e Zahra) until # Rajai Hwy, take exit to Rajai South,
follow Rajai Hwy 5.5 km to Bagher Shahr, take U-turn inside Bagher Shahr , after 400m is the cemetery gate on your right.
(Rajai is on google maps labelled as “Emam Khomeini Blvd”)

The Story of TPC

The first Protestant Cemetery in Tehran was started in 1890 in the area of Akbarabad just south of Teheran. Because at that time nearly all Protestant Christians were foreigners the cemetery was set up under a committee of ambassadors from predominantly Protestant countries. As the city grew the cemetery became part of the city area.

Until the Iranian revolution the administration was done by American Presbyterian clergy. In 1995 the ambassadors asked the German Speaking Evangelical Congregation being the last international Protestant church in Teheran to take over this duty. Read More
